6.7 million Pinoys use illegal drugs, PDEA says

THE number of Filipinos using illegal drugs has decreased in recent years, but there are still 6.7 million drug dependents in the country, an official said yesterday.

Dionisio Santiago, the newly installed chief of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, said the decrease in the number of Filipino drug users could be attributed to the agency?s campaign to eradicate international and local drug syndicates.
